Vin's POV:

In the center of West Sun City, which used to be filled with life but is now empty and gives off a ghostly feeling, there walks a good-looking man with much strength. As he moves around what is left from the world's end, the light from the moon gets less bright.

The brave man keeps searching without giving up through the ruins of the city that used to be full of life, because he wants to find anyone still alive who could become important friends for his future travels.

While he moves across the empty city, sometimes he meets zombies and these meetings turn into intense fights. These happen under the strange light of the moon that comes through broken buildings. He does not let himself be scared by the scary dead people, bravely going through narrow paths and empty places. His alone shape stands out like a sign of hope in all this deep darkness around him. Every move he makes shows his strong spirit and firm determination to find any pieces of the broken civilization that could give hints about what happened before. These might also help create a better future even though everything around is destroyed.

When the clock showed twelve at night and the peaceful sky turned to a scary red color, the monsters of the end times looked like they got stronger in a bad way, wanting more blood and being more violent every minute. In this dark situation, someone who was still alive noticed that with every meeting with these zombies, they were getting crueller and meaner.

 <

The zombies, with a hunger that could not be satisfied, showed more fierceness now and kept moving towards him without stopping. They had an energy so strong it made him feel very cold inside. It looked like each step he made was pulling these unstoppable creatures to him just as light pulls moths close by, their endless drive reflecting the dark truth of how much the world had fallen down into chaos. In this scary environment, the person who survived was dealing with dangers to his body and also fighting with his own feelings of fear and sadness. He tried hard too move through a place where it became harder to tell alive people from dead ones as time went on.

Not long after, the man named Vin began to show tiredness. He took a rest on an destroyed car that also suffered from the coming disaster of end times. He was breathing heavily and his heart beat fast because he felt scared.

 <

The beings, with their twisted shapes highlighted by the sky ablaze, kept on chasing without stopping. Even though his arms and legs were shaking and his mind was not clear, Vin gathered all the strength he still had to move himself towards the edge of the vehicle. As they moved nearer, a chill ran through his body and the smell of rotting and bad intentions became more intense. His muscles cried out for rest but he understood that to give in to tiredness would surely lead to his end.

As Vin's chasers got closer, he felt a strong will to keep going. He clenched his teeth and with a silent prayer prepared for the last fight, which would decide if he lives or dies in this harsh world full of ruin and hopelessness.

 <

What can we do? These zombies are mindless creatures that would endlessly chase after every living being they sense, no matter if you're exhausted or injured.

 <

He struggled against the conscious resistance of his aching muscles, fighting for air while he inch forward. He was pervaded by anxiety and inquisition on the sight of an impressive metallic structure at long distance that radiated a golden light like a beacon of hope in the midst of darkness and storm.

 <

Quite unsurely he thought the walls behind him were a way out from the danger following him, or in contrast to this, they were leading him in a dead end. Thus, this latter made him want to destroy the pathology inside his mind which paralyzed him. In his mind, he was convinced that it was a good shelter and a place where he could hide from his coming misfortunes. He knew it deeply inside that in that place, he would find the answers and the peace he was searching.

He sped his way to the castle with all his might and with every stolen minute the pursuers got closer. Every step took him closer to the possible danger behind him. His pursuers did not give a break and he could look at them over his shoulder if they were just some meters behind.

In the end, the feet took him to the mighty iron door, streaked with what appeared to be blood, followed by zombies scattered on the ground nearby, whose ghastly figures served as a warning, causing ravishing horror and urge.

 <

He rammed down with all his energetic force the dense metal door with his worn base ball bat that was even decorated with the pieces of zombies he killed. He kept bringing it down again and again vacillating in a bid to spell out to whosoever might be there.

The rush of despair engulfed his mind , the endless beat of zombie rumblings seeping into his head as the moving horde rapidly approached him. A thrilling sensation overwhelms his heart. It is a surge of emotion that fuels each of his ferocious blows against the dying wooden barricade even though deep down he knows that it exposes his position to even more walking undead. The looming feeling of gloom cast a shadow over him, but his adrenalin throbbed with sheer willpower to continue the battle, the battle against the advancing darkness.

With a sour sensation of hobbling footsteps echoing him from opposite side of the metal door, the spark of hope got kindled again in him. A hint of anticipation played in his eyes all the while he was waiting with heartbeat, noticing the possibility of salvation from showing up. However, his optimism faltered and dimmed as the door swung open, revealing a sinister sight: an albino ray of light, covered with the mysterious darkness, hovering balefully at a small opening. In the spark of hatred fixed in the blade's smoky black hue he suddenly found, in place of the feeble hope momentarily glowing in the dark of his despair, shear black loss of faith.
